Yarn Bombing in Fuerteventura

Yarn Bombing se denomina a las acciones realizadas con piezas tejidas, generalmente a ganchillo, y utilizadas en lugares públicos.

Desde el año 2020, gracias a la colaboración de mujeres eco-artivistas y con el lema "Tejiendo Derechos por el Planeta Tierra", pude organizar tres acciones de yarn bombing en Fuerteventura. En Corralejo vestimos las farolas de la Plaza Patricio Calero con cuadrados tejidos a ganchillo llamados "grannys", hicimos lo mismo en las farolas de la plaza Tran Tran de Gran Tarajal y el la plaza del Ayuntamiento de Puerto del Rosario.

Yarn Bombing is the name given to actions carried out with woven pieces, generally crocheted, and used in public places.

Since 2020, thanks to the collaboration of eco-artivist women and with the motto "Weaving Rights for Planet Earth", I was able to organize three yarn bombing actions in Fuerteventura. In Corralejo we dressed the streetlights in Plaza Patricio Calero with crocheted squares called "grannys", we did the same in the streetlights in Plaza Tran Tran de Gran Tarajal and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Puerto del Rosario.
